This is one of our favorite trips of the year. Oakridge! This is where our Headquarters and our Log Scale Shack Cafe is located. This is also one of the first places we visited when we moved to Oregon. We first explored this area in 2007, just dipping that toe in to find a huge network of some of the world’s best mountain bike trails. This trip combines all of the best days Oakridge has to offer, from the most remote riding, to the most iconic Oakridge Trails. The longer you have to stay, the more we get to show you. We’ll start at the Southernmost point of the Middle Fork Ranger District in the Lake Timpanogas Area. This place has some incredible riding that’s only open from late August to early October, so when it’s running, it’s the place to be. We’ll have time to swim, fish, stand up paddle board and just relax. We’ll continue our riding on Day two where we’ll explore the remainder of the Timpanogas complex and then make our way down the upper Middle Fork and end our day on one of the biggest descents in the Willamette, Moon Point. The remainder of our days will be spent in Oakridge proper where we’ll Shuttle, ALL Day Long, every day. Depending on the length of your stay, and what kind of trails you are keen to ride, we always save one of our favorite backcountry rides for last, Grasshopper. The Oakridge Area is a place where you can ride 10 days in a row and not repeat a single ride. Let us have a chat with you so we can dial in the perfect Oakridge Trip itinerary for you and your group.

AIRPORT / SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION
We’ll arrange plans to pick you up from the airport and drop you off. We’ll also take care of all transportation in between. All you need to do is make it to the airport, all logistics otherwise are handled by us.
MSR TENT WITH SLEEPING PAD
We supply each rider with their own roomy MSR tent and Thermarest sleeping pad. Bring your sleeping bag and a pillow and we’ll dial the rest in.
We have an on demand hot water shower we set up for each tour. We also camp by pristine natural bodies of water, so depending on the weather, the nearby lake or river may be the way to go. Regardless, we’ll make sure you have a place to clean up each day.
CAMPFIRES AND GAMES
We’ll make sure we have plenty of firewood to get us through the trip, have big fires and make plenty of smores. We’ll also make sure the Red Rider BB Guns, the Tomahawks’ and the Cornhole is packed and ready to go. After a good days ride and some time by the lake, we’ll inevitably need to apply our compulsive competitive behavior to a friendly game of medieval weaponry. GAME ON!
FOOD AND DRINKS
We partner with a number of Oregon’s Top Chefs to provide you with an incredible culinary experience throughout your trip. Carnivorous, Vegetarian and Vegan menus are available. Each morning you’ll wake up to a hot or cold breakfast of your choice. Lunch and Snacks are prepared for you to take on your ride each day. After a good day of riding the bike, we’ll sit down by the table to eat a well prepared meal with each other. The menu also includes beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to quench your thirst. We want to get this right, so please let us know what you’d like to see so we can make it happen.
This is where we first came to ride mountain bikes when we moved to Oregon, 15 years ago. This is where Trans-Cascadia the Race Started and is now where the headquarters of Trans Cascadia Excursions is. We learned from this community how to do trail work and what it takes to steward your trail networks. This was also our first backcountry restoration project, on Grasshopper. It took us 2 Seasons and a strong collaboration with the Forest Service and the local community, we rehabilitated Grasshopper to what it is today. To learn more about the history of this area and our relationship with this trail, check out the write up from EVO Here.
