Trip Questions

What is a trip?

Trans Cascadia Excursions offers 1 day, 3 day, and 5 day trips, as well as custom tailored mountain bike adventures to meet your individual needs.  We operate out of Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest and Bellingham as well as Oregon’s Willamette National Forest.  Some trips are intended specifically for more experienced riders, while many are great for those with little mountain biking experience. Each of our trips have detailed information to help you find the right one for you.

What should I bring?

Each trip varies depending on length, location and time of year.  Under each of our trips there will be a ‘Packing List’ that will help guide you.

We recommend always putting the following items in your bag… It is the Pacific Northwest!

Rain Jacket, Rain Pants, Waterproof Boots/Covers, Rain Gloves

How fit do I need to be?

It all depends on the trip, but usually our trips range from intermediate to advanced.  Riders should be comfortable riding a mix of ground conditions, soil, small rocks and roots, as well as varying steepness.

What are the accommodations like?

It all depends on the experience you and your crew would like to have.  We offer anything from getting you a great rental property with comfy beds to supplying you with a two-person MSR tent and Thermarest camping pad.

Can I bring my own van?

Inquire with us.  It all depends on where we are taking you.

Each of our different shuttles we offer has a different pick up point.  Under our Trans Cascadia Excursions shuttle page, you will find a google map link to give you detailed directions to get you to the right location.

Can I add another shuttle?

Of course!

If you just didn’t get your fill and want to add another shuttle to your day, you can always ask you driver or give us a ring to get you booked  on another ride.

Can I purchase same day?

Yes you can!  Give us a call if you’re in the area and looking to hop on a shuttle that same day.

Can I pay cash on the shuttle?

We recommend paying ahead of time either with XOLA our backend booking system via our website or giving us a call and booking directly with us.  We can sometimes make an exception but it is still best to give us a call so that we can chat out the details.

Can I purchase a Season Shuttle Pass?

Yes, we offer Season Shuttle Passes! You can find them under the ‘Oakridge Mountain Bike Shuttles’ page of our website.  They are $399 per person, per season and are valid for any of our Oakridge Shuttles running May – November.

Do I need to purchase a shuttle pass or can I just show up?

If you just show up to a pickup location, the shuttle vehicle might be full or might not be going out at that specific time if no one has booked it for that day.  It is best to purchase a shuttle pass or give us a ring to find out what shuttles are going out that day.

Once I book am I guaranteed a shuttle?

Once you book a shuttle online, you are not guaranteed that shuttle until you receive a confirmation email from us confirming that you are on the shuttle.  It can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 day for us to confirm  or deny a shuttle but if you are in a hurry and need an answer sooner rather than later, please give us a ring and we will get you sorted out.

Do I need to sign a waiver for each shuttle I book?

You only need to sign one waiver for yourself for all the shuttles.  If you are riding with a group and you made the reservation, you can send the riders in your party the waiver document to sign so that each person riding has a signed waiver.
